Workshop Description

Reconnecting to one’s own roots for Peace and Hope.

Chinese whispers or telephone is an internationally popular game in which the first player comes up with a message and whispers it to the ear of the second person in the line, and so on. When the last player is reached, they announce the message they heard to the entire group. The first person then compares the original message with the final version.

Although the game’s objective is different, I am using this game to see how our roots of life are being changed from generation to generation. We are neither aware of the times of our ‘first breath’ nor the times of ‘last breath’ of our mothers, fathers and ancestors. This is a life with a missing thread of individual history, relationships and emotions. This short workshop provides an opportunity to look back to our life and gather some pieces of breath where we get the feel of our ancestors.
